Do you think the boys are excited about bowling? Every year our homeschooling group does bowling for its winter sport. The moms are in charge of this sport because it is at 2:00 on Wednesday. We had to miss last week because of a doctor's appointment so the kids were busting at the seams today. This year Gus, Beedle, Nate, and Gracie are bowling. James was suppose to be napping but he was just as excited as the rest of the kids. He totally skipped his nap and skipped eating as well. He just jumped up and down the entire time squealing. Gus is getting quite good at bowling. Gus knocked down the most pins but Beedle was a champion as well. Last year Beedle would bowl two frames and then be too tired to finish. Today he bowled every frame and never complained about being tired. Gracie is stronger this year as well. Last year she bowled the other eight frames that Beedle refused to play. At two she often needed help but was entirely too independent to accept it. We had several balls not make it down the lane. This year Miss Independent used a eight pound ball (instead of the six pounds that the others use) and it propels itself down the lane. What a difference that made! What a great chance to get out of the rain and the cold and expel some of that pent up boy energy. Everyone was happy to get started.
