We are going to have to extend the art block for at least three more months. I knew it would be a hit but I thought we could limit the type of art we would study. This failed. The kids are pretty good at seeing art everywhere. Gus sees it in architecture and music. Beetle loves using his mind and hands to create with anything from playdough and pipecleaners to paint and pencils. Those of you who know him also know that he draws pictures in the air as he talks to you. Gracie is loving to bake and read poetry. I guess when you have four children who are all so unique it was bound to happen. So, what began as a nod to Beetle's talent, has shown our entire family their own artistic abilities. We will extend our art block and explore each interest more thoroughly. Our family is also throwing down the gauntlet! This means you (not the next person who reads this blog)! We would love to hear how you are experiencing art. Have you seen a play, gone to a museum, or decided to go to the park to draw what you see and feel? Are your kids performing a play? Share with us your excitement and joy of art. Leave a comment at this post so all can see.
