Nesting Syndrome

We used to have a functioning front porch light. We've been meaning to replace it but we get such good coverage from the rest of our outdoor lighting that it hasn't been a priority to change it out. Because of our procrastination, some neighbors have moved in. We've been hearing a lot of chirping at night and never really figured out where it was coming from. It turns out the chirping was four new baby birds nestled quite comfortably in the light fixture. We have been fascinated with them since making this discovery. Of course, they have been affectionately nicknamed "The Fab Four". Since learning more about them, the late-night chirping hasn't been as bad. In fact, it's sweet music to our ears. Welcome, neighbors!
