Best Design

Beedle's final year in cub scouts paved the way for his favorite project--designing his boxcar derby car.  He decided to go out with a bang.  Or a zap.  Or at least make it out of this world--a Star Wars Tie Fighter.  Here are some pics showing his step-by-step process which earned him the award for Best Design.  Kuddos, Beedle!

Girl with a New Do!

It's amazing what a fresh, new haircut can do for a girl!  In Gracie's case, it gave her healthier look and more of a glow.  This was her first haircut in probably four years--all by her design as she wanted to grow her hair long.  After taking a few inches off and adding some elongated bangs, it has made our little girl seem a bit more mature.  Gracie said that she would now like to get her haircut at least one every other month.  I think we've created a monster.  If so, she will be one beautiful monster with sassy hair!

Ape Man

CYT's Fall production of Tarzan is underway this weekend.  After a couple of months of rehearsing, show week finally arrived this week.  And although there were some challenges with weather, the cast stuck it out, worked hard and delivered on a great performance.  Our own Beedle did a great job as a young ape.  We especially enjoyed seeing other apes eat fleas and ticks off of him.  We certainly went bananas over him!  Very proud of Beedle and the entire cast!  Here is Beedle with his buddy, Aaron, who was an explorer in the play.
