Thank You, Chad Keefer!

We watched the fastball fly off of Ragin Cajun cathcer Chad Keefer's bat and just eek over the right field fence. It served as a nice insurance run for the Cajuns, and it served as a nice supper for the Chopin family on Saturday. Keefer's four-bagger gave all ticketholders at Friday night's game two-for-one combos at Cane's Chicken Tenders. The Cajuns won. The Chopins won. What a great thing! Thank you, Chad Keefer!

Return of the Jed-Yi

How soon is too soon?
The force has been with him...........always!

Gone Fishin'!

The boys went on a little fishing trip this morning. It was organized by the cub scouts and hosted by Mr. Brian Spiker at his pond. Here are some pics of the boys fishing.Although the scouts didn't catch anything (but Mr. Brett and Alaina caught two bass), they still had no problem entertaining themselves. (It's artificial bait!)

We ended our outing with buffet pizza, but only because we didn't catch enough to feed everyone. I think Gus and Beedle enjoyed it. Like they say, a bad day fishing is better than any other day!

Joyous Saturday

I don't think it's possible for anyone to be mad on a day like this. The weather was as close to perfect as I can remember and the laughs made it even brighter. I took the kids to the park to fly their kite. It had a lot of trouble getting off the ground, so we played some baseball. It was a great day to be out on the diamond.

We came back home and took some target practice with Gus' BB gun. We aimed at a Sprite can and Gatorade bottle. As you can see, we did some damage to the Sprite can.
As evening came, we decided to take the happiness on the road to Art Walk downtown. Gracie stopped to play with a hula-hoop.She did a good job.
The rest of the evening was spent soaking up some cultureand walking down the streets of downtown Lafayette laughing and cutting up. If we were selling Joy today, we'd be millionaires.
