Geaux Cajuns!

The Chopin squad was all ready for the first UL game of the year. Dad, Gus, Beedle and Gracie were four of the 41,000+ in attendance for UL's season opener against Southern. It was a record crowd and the kids and Dad were glad to be a part of it. The Cajuns rolled to a 42-19 victory. Can't wait for the next one! Geaux Cajuns!

GiGi Burgers

GiGi had us over for family night this evening. We grilled some burgers and the kids had a picnic in the back yard. That is until the beasts attacked--Webster stole Gracie's hamburger and the flies covered their ears of corn. They relocated inside and never lost a step. We had a good time hanging out. Thanks, GiGi!

Fish and Chips

Mom went to Mrs. Erin's tonight so I whipped up the traditional "Mom Went Out" meal--fish sticks. I wanted to try something new for a side dish. I sliced some potatoes REAL thin and fried them to make homemade potato chips. I've got to be honest--they were really good! The kids thought so too as they ate them all. I like to experiment in the kitchen.
